Demi Lovato is definitely a true rising star: she has a hit album, is best friends with Miley Cyrus, has John Mayer raving about her, and just announced her first headlining concert tour for the summer.

On April 16, Demi stopped into Radio Disney for an acoustic performance and to chat all the exciting things going on in her life. Even at 9 a.m, she looked fabulous, wearing a black minidress, leather jacket, black and white scarf, and the cutest, chunky high heels!

Demi performed her smash hits “Get Back” and “Don’t Forget” with her band, and Celebuzz can report that she sounded amazing live!

Selena Gomez teaches BFF Demi Lovato how to eat a hamburger the proper way in one of three new sneak peeks for their upcoming Disney Channel Original Movie, Princess Protection Program.

In the TV movie, Princess Rosalina (Lovato) is threatened by an evil dictator bent on taking control of her country. She is then whisked away and placed into the Princess Protection Program. Mason, an agent with the program, hides Princess Rosalina in his own home where, with the help of his daughter Carter (Gomez), she adopts the cover of an ordinary teen named Rosie. The two form a close bond as Carter helps Rosie transform into a normal teenager and Rosie shows Carter how to find the princess within herself.

Princess Protection Program premieres on Disney Channel in June.

BFFs Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato are all smiles behind-the-scenes of their Disney Channel Original movie, Princess Protection Program.

The duo, both 16, star as Carter (Gomez) and Rosie (Lovato) in the flick, two girls who come from much different worlds to form a friendship. They shared, “Our friendship in the movie is nothing like our friendship in real life.”

Selena continued, “It’s been like a dream come true. We did work together when we were younger, but then, we’re best friends and we spend every second with each other. So, to be able to work with each other [again] was definitely one of our dreams.”

Princess Protection Program premieres on Disney Channel in June.

BFFs Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato stand back to back in this promo pic for their upcoming Disney Channel original movie, “Princess Protection Program.” The 16-year-old teen queens star as Rosalina (Lovato) and Carter (Gomez) in the film. Princess Rosalina is threatened by an evil dictator bent on taking control of her country and is whisked away and placed into the Princess Protection Program, a secret agency that watches over imperiled princesses around the world. She’s taken to her protector’s home where she meets Carter and learns how to be a normal teenager. The movie also stars Samantha Droke, Nicholas Braun and Kevin Schmidt and will premiere on Disney Channel in January 2009.
